Master’s in Samskrit – Admission process for those residing outside India
Here are all the steps for admission into the Master’s program in Samskrit by MIT SVS and HUA. Skip ahead to the step that applies to you. Fill the pre-registration form Formally apply as follows: For Masters’ Certificate (level 1) in Samskrit, fill out the SVS Online Certificate Courses form. Select “Samskrit-1” in the “Course you wish to apply for”. Fee is USD 3,600 per level (year), payable in two equal installments when offered admission. What is the distinction between Master’s Certificate and MA Degree? We’d like to underscore the distinction between our fully online Master’s Certificate program (level 1 and 2) and our Govt. of India accredited MA Samskrit degree program. Though the course work and assessment model is identical for both the programs, joining the MA degree program requires adherence to additional University terms and conditions laid down by Govt. of India as follows. MA Samskrit Entrance Test: Samskrit Language Proficiency (SLP) Test
The MIT SVS’ M.A. Sanskrit degree program (or the Masters’ certificate program in Sanskrit) is conducted predominantly in Sanskrit medium. To ensure that candidates have the required proficiency to comprehend and communicate in Sanskrit language, MIT SVS requires its applicants to take an online Samskrit Language Proficiency Test. This test is currently administered by Vedavaapi Foundation, a non-profit organization in India dedicated to spread Indic knowledge through technology.
