Objectives

After completion of BA/B.Sc. Hons Psychology , candidates will be able to:

Value Proposition

Psychology is the emerging master science where Vedic insights are directly applicable and valuable. Hence, it is the most short-term impact area for Vedic Sciences. In addition to adding Vedic Psychology and Modern + Vedic Sociology as the other two streams, SVS has upgraded its Modern Psychology syllabus itself to introduce the latest advances in this area, such as transpersonal psychology, emergent findings in Modern Psychology and its future directions. The following career options are open for students.

BA/B.Sc. Hons Psychology - BA/B.Sc. Hons with Research Psychology

BA/B.Sc. Hons Psychology - Based on NEP 2020 is a 4-year full-time program that is designed to groom the next generation of holistic counsellors, psychotherapists and leadership coaches who are armed with the best of modern and ancient insights into human behaviour. The program includes core courses, elective courses and skill-based courses.

Students opting for BA/B.Sc. Hons Psychology - BA/B.Sc. Hons with Research Psychology are eligible for 5yrs MA/MSc Integrated programme based on NEP 2020.

  • Duration: 4 yrs with multiple entry & exit points.
  • Eligibility: Students who have passed 10+2 from Science stream for BSc Psychology / 10+2 from any stream for BA Psychology from a recognized Indian or foreign institution or an equivalent board and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks

MA/M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology

  • Duration:2 years
  • Eligibility:UG degree with Psychology subjects as major or an equivalent degree from a recognized board and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks

PHD Program in  Psychology

  • Duration: 3 years
  • Seats: For AY 2023-24, 1 seat
  • Thrust areas of Research:  Social psychology, Clinical, Industrial, Vedic.

Here are the steps for being a part of this unique and innovative program.

  1. Online application form: Fill the MIT-ADT University’s online application form.
  2. Statement of Purpose: SVS will respond by email asking for a short write-up called Statement of Purpose. Reply to that email with your write-up.
  3. Provisional admission offer from SVS: You will be either interviewed over phone,or get an admission offer via email.
  4. Acceptance email: Reply to the email to indicate your acceptance (or otherwise) of the admission offer sent by SVS.
  5. Retainer fee (within 1 week of receiving the admission offer email): To confirm your admission, please pay the provisional admission fee of INR 15,000 via online transfer (bank details below) or through a DD. Inform the UTR number of the online transfer along with a screenshot of the bank transfer page to SVS via email.

    2. Once the payment is received, the provisional admission of the applicant will be confirmed over email.
  6. Document verification (before the 1st day of the term): You must physically visit the MIT Loni campus once with the original certificates for verification. This needs to happen before the first day of the classes. The university reserves the right to cancel admission and refund the retainer fee if verification fails.
  7. First term fee (before the 1st day of the term): Pay the remainder of the first term fee, i.e. INR 37,500 – INR 15,000 = INR 22,500. You are considered formally admitted at that time and need to visit the campus for SVS orientation once for three days in the first week of the term. Classes will start in the 1st week of August.B.Sc. in Integral Psychology comprises various courses that cover the modern and Vedic aspects of psychology.
