Why MIT School of Vedic Sciences?

MIT School of Vedic Sciences is a part of MIT ADT University, which offers higher education in diverse areas such as science, engineering, medicine and management. MIT SVS skillfully integrates the foundational, holistic and value-based subjective Vedic knowledge with the practical economic utility and efficiency benefits of modern scientific knowledge. At MIT SVS, we sincerely believe that this is a step in the right direction for the best overall welfare of human society, as we know it today.

About SVS

Our Mission

Provide higher education that systematically trains the youth to be physically tenacious, intellectually sharp, emotionally balanced, spiritually elevated and socially responsible

The founders of MIT SVS believe that for rapid all-round welfare and elevation of the society, a deep understanding and application of India’s Vedic knowledge heritage is essential. However, keen intellectual acumen (called Viveka in Samskrit) is also required to apply the Vedic insights in the current context. India’s native educational tradition has excellent methodologies to cultivate the necessary intellectual and emotional culture among youth.

Aim & Rationale

Our aim is to impart generic learning skills to rapidly excel in any field via a judicious blend of Vedic (traditional Indian) and contemporary knowledge with ample opportunity for practice.

The mainstream education system in India has ignored the Indic dimension of imparting education.

SVS Approach

Success in today’s professional world requires the three core ACE skills of

  • Assimilation
  • Communication
  • Empathy

MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions

Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research’s (MAEER) MIT Group was established with the vision of developing professional education

Education

  • Integral Psychology
  • Vedic Sciences
  • Samskrit

Integral Psychology

Integral Psychology aims to bring together the Modern Perspectives and Vedic Perspectives on the mind (manas), intellect (buddhi), ego (ahankara), consciousness (chitta). The students will get the holistic view of Psychology through application of the ancient and modern wisdom in a pragmatic way to manage mind, body and soul; which will help them in their career prospects.

Vedic Sciences

Ayurveda and Yoga are fruits of the Vedic system that are highly valued and popular today. However, it is lesser known that at their base lies a firm theoretical foundation of deep, holistic study of nature, human psychology, and of knowledge itself, its means (observation), methods (logic and language) and validation (experimentation).

Samskrit

Samskrit is India’s gift to the world. Apart from its better known contributions in the areas of literature, dance, drama, holistic medicine, astrology, architecture and spiritual practices, Samskrit holds vast treatises of knowledge in diverse areas including economics, sustainable development, governance, logic, management, personal development, taxation, metallurgy, astronomy, mathematics and physics.

Research

Indic Knowledge Studies is trending large in recent times. Scholars and professionals from mainstream academic disciplines are now exchanging notes with Indian Shaastras. The exploration for utilizing Shaastric knowledge in contemporary applications is on the rise and it is envisaged that there is huge scope for research in this direction.
