Visiting Faculty
After an illustrious career in organizations such as C-DAC, Hindustan Aeronautics and Kirloskar Electric, Dr Ramanujan is currently the Founder Trustee of Sri Parankushachar Institute of Vedic Studies (PIVS), which works in areas such as a Visistadvaita website, Vedic databases into computer analysable form, teaching of Vedic texts in the traditional Pravachana style, and guiding academic and research activities.
His academic background includes DEE (Electrical Engg), MEI Polytechnic, Bengaluru; BE (Electrical Engg), BMSECE, Bangalore University; MSc (Engg), Dept of CSA, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru; DLitt (honoris causa), Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, New Delhi; and study of Taittireeya KrishnaYajurVeda, Vyakarana, Vishishtadvaita Vedanta and Nalayira Divya Prabandhams in the Gurukul system. He has also held positions such as Member, Second Sanskrit Commission, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, and Member, Expert Committee for Development of Thanjavur Maharaja Serfoji’s Sarsavati Mahal Library, Government of Tamil Nadu.
