Synopsis of the Talk

This talk would introduce the Management Discipline in a unique way. It will show
typically

  1.  what the different sub-disciplines of management are and how the value chain
    links them
  2. the courses that are normally offered in MBA programs, and
  3. what the key parameters for measuring business performance are.

The talk also would discuss the Strategic Management Framework that has application in any kind of management conceptualization/ planning and practice.

In seeking to improve any practice, the presentation would show how it is possible to conceptualize improving organizational practices (and long term performance) holistically through a three-step process of regulation-governance-ethical discourse.

Finally the talk would interrogate as to whether vedic wisdom can inform the manner in which knowledge pertaining to Management could be re-conceptualized more holistically.
