Dr. Amruta Punjabi has completed her Ph.D. in psychology with expertise as a practitioner in the field of Clinical psychology from 2007.
She has worked with a Child guidance center as a clinical psychologist where she has worked with children having different behavioral problems, emotional distress, and psychiatric illnesses. She has also helped with career guidance.
She has worked with individuals with various concerns ranging from:
- Stress
- Adjustment issues
- Interpersonal conflicts such as marital disputes, family conflicts and parent – child discord
- Academic or profession related difficulties
- Anxiety and mood related problems
Her research work has been dedicated towards schizophrenic patients and treatments like rehabilitation, cognitive remediation and social skills training. She has a keen interest in developing therapies for socially, economically disadvantaged people and especially for women with psychotic illnesses. For the same she had been working with a private rehabilitation center at Aurangabad, Maharashtra and has also been an active therapist working for a caregiver support group named Schizophrenia Swastha Punervasan Prathishtan, Shanti Nursing Home, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
